Marbury, MD – Martika Savoy of Marbury experienced a mix of joy and surprise when she discovered she had won a staggering $100,000 on the FAST PLAY Winfall Doubler lottery game. The news left her so elated that she feared it might send her into labor, as she is currently expecting her fourth child.
“I thought I was going to have my baby on the floor,” exclaimed the thrilled winner.
While Martika’s boyfriend regularly participates in scratch-off games and FAST PLAY, she considers herself a casual player who hadn’t tried her luck in months. However, on a whim, she followed her instincts and decided to purchase a ticket, which turned out to be a life-changing decision.
“It was a spur of the moment decision. I said, ‘why not play today’,” Martika shared.
As a grocery store manager, Martika intends to use a portion of her winnings as a down payment on a new home. Additionally, she expressed her love for travel and taking her children to amusement parks, suggesting that some of the money would be allocated to such experiences. Martika has not yet informed her children about her big win but plans to do so soon.
“Some of the money will go to my babies and my bills,” the 31-year-old winner stated.
Martika’s victory marks the fifth $100,000 prize won on the Winfall Doubler game. Notably, there are still 19 unclaimed $100,000 top prizes, along with 16 prizes worth $50,000, 24 worth $20,000, and 26 worth $10,000. Additionally, there are various prizes ranging from $20 to $1,000.
Pisgah General, the retailer where Martika purchased her winning ticket located at 7015 Poorhouse Road in Charles County, will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the lucky ticket.
