Man Critically Injured In D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was critically injured in a shooting Thursday morning in Northwest, D.C. The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch is reaching out to the public, requesting their aid in locating a vehicle of interest related to the shooting.

Shortly before 11 am, officers responded to a report of a shooting at the 700 block of Lamont Street. When they arrived, they located an adult male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was quickly taken to an area hospital for medical care due to injuries that were considered life-threatening. At this moment, his condition is unknown.

A newer model, a four-door black Mercedes Benz SUV, has been labeled as the vehicle of interest. The last known appearance showed it with a license plate from an unknown state. This vehicle’s image was captured by a surveillance camera.
