MONTGOMERY COUNTY, August 17 – A serious collision involving four vehicles at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Kayson Street left seven people with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident unfolded at approximately 6:39 p.m. when Montgomery County 4th District officers and Fire Rescue personnel were called to the scene.

The preliminary investigation has found that a gray Audi A6, traveling southbound on Georgia Avenue, collided with a Red heavy-duty Ford Truck and trailer attempting to turn onto northbound Georgia Avenue. The truck spun out, detaching from its trailer and subsequently hitting a Chevy Traverse. The detached trailer spilled into the road and was struck by a white Ford Taurus.

The Ford Truck’s driver and three passengers, along with the drivers from the Audi A6 and Ford Taurus, were transported to local hospitals. A pedestrian, who was present at the time of the collision and injured while trying to avoid the incident, was also hospitalized.

The Montgomery County Department of Police continues to investigate the collision and urges anyone with information to come forward. No charges have been filed at this time.
