WILKINSBURG, PA – A 65-year-old woman was hospitalized after a shooting incident that took place near Pennwood Avenue and Rowland Connector.
First responders arrived shortly before 4 p.m. and found the woman in her vehicle with a gunshot wound to the lower back.
The woman was not the intended target of the shooting and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Two males wearing black clothing were seen fleeing the area on foot.
The County Police are investigating the incident and have set up a tip line for anyone with information. The tip line number is 1-833-ALL-TIPS, and callers can remain anonymous.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
