Six Drug Dealers Arrested in Atlantic City Quality of Life Operation

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – In a targeted effort to address ongoing quality of life complaints and illegal narcotics activities, Atlantic City Police Department, in collaboration with the DEA Liberty Mid-Atlantic High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, executed a street operation on October 12, 2023. The operation led to the arrest of six individuals, including five adults and one juvenile, on various narcotics-related charges. Several of the arrested individuals also had active warrants.

According to the police, detectives from the Special Investigations Section recovered marijuana, heroin, and cocaine, all packaged for distribution, during the arrests.

Among those arrested was a 17-year-old male from Atlantic City, charged with Possession of CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substances) and possession with intent to distribute. He has been released into the custody of a parent and awaits a future court date.


Also arrested were Taquan Callaway, 27, Quashawn Reynolds, 26, and Tracy Rollins, 46. Callaway is charged with loitering to distribute CDS; Reynolds faces charges of possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute, and contempt of court; and Rollins is charged with possession of CDS and contempt of court. All three have been remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

Completing the list of arrested individuals are Michael McDonel, 36, and Justin O’Neill, 23. McDonel is charged with possession of CDS, and O’Neill is charged with possession of CDS and contempt of court. Both McDonel and O’Neill were released on a summons and have a pending court date.

The operation is part of the Atlantic City Police Department’s commitment to addressing the concerns of residents regarding quality of life issues and narcotics activities.
