Funeral Home Worker Charged in Bizarre Incident Involving Sex Doll

OMAHA, NE – A 41-year-old funeral home employee in Omaha, Nebraska, is facing felony burglary charges after an unusual incident involving a life-sized sex doll. Ryan Smith was dispatched to a residence at the Rock Creek Apartments to collect the body of a deceased individual. An investigator reported that a “very real life size” sex doll was found “near the body on the bed.”

According to court records, Smith then contacted the property manager, claiming he had been instructed by the local sheriff to remove the sex doll “to collect swabs for biopsy.”

The property manager denied Smith’s “strange request” but later discovered Smith in the apartment, which had been locked with a deadbolt and chain. Upon Smith’s exit, his shirt was untucked, and his pants were in “disarray,” leading the property manager to call the police.

Smith was subsequently arrested and charged with felony burglary.

A post-arrest examination found the sex doll to be “sticky,” with indications that “something had rubbed her inner thighs,” according to police records. A deputy collected the doll for DNA processing.

Smith was fired from his job with Mid America First Call, a company specializing in “removals, transportation, embalming, cremations, and ship-outs,” according to its website.
