Man Arrested in Connection to Absecon Bank Robbery

The Absecon Police Department has announced the arrest of Thomas J. Ingram, a 37-year-old resident of Bayonne, NJ, in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in Absecon on September 15, 2023.

Ingram was apprehended today after an extensive investigation into the robbery at the First National Bank of Absecon. He is currently being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

The police department expressed gratitude to multiple agencies for their cooperation and assistance in the case.

The combined efforts of these agencies were highlighted as instrumental in Ingram’s capture. “Their dedication to public safety and swift response played a crucial role in bringing this suspect to justice,” the department said.

The Absecon Police Department affirmed its commitment to community safety, stating, “We will continue to work diligently to ensure the protection of our residents and businesses.” The case against Ingram is ongoing, as authorities continue their investigation.
