TRENTON, NJ – Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy have released their 2022 tax returns, a move that has ignited conversations about whether the New Jersey Governor is considering a run for President. The Murphys are also providing a five-year, year-by-year financial comparison.

The release of tax returns is a customary step for presidential candidates, though Governor Murphy has not announced any intention to run.

The full 2022 tax returns and additional documentation will be available to members of the media on Friday, October 27, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the First Floor Media Room of the New Jersey Executive State House located at 125 West State Street in Trenton.

The Governor’s Office has not provided further details or commentary about the implications of this action.

While some say the governor is gearing up for national politics after his return from an Asian trip, he has regularly released his tax returns to the public each year since taking office.

According to his joint tax return, he and his wife grossed $684,576 in income last year.
