COLUMBUS, OH – Authorities have indicted Rebecca Auborn, 33, concerning four murders, alleging she met men for sex and drugged them to facilitate robberies.

The charges against Auborn are expansive, encompassing involuntary manslaughter, aggravated robbery, felonious assault, corrupting another with drugs, tampering with evidence, and drug trafficking, according to a news release from officials.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost commented on the case: “Don’t buy sex in Ohio — it ruins lives and could cost you yours.”

The Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force initially unearthed the criminal operation. Authorities said they received information about a woman meeting men for sex in northeast Columbus. She would then drug the men, called “Johns,” to rob them.

Detectives have linked Auborn to a series of overdoses and robberies that commenced in December 2022. The investigation accelerated after four unidentified victims died from overdoses in 2023. The official release did not reveal specifics about the victims and the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

As of this week, Auborn has been in Franklin County Jail. She was first charged on Sept. 11. No attorney is listed in her online court records, and the Ohio Attorney General’s office had no additional information to provide.
