17-Year-Old Dead, Two Injured in Akron Shooting

AKRON, OH – A Sunday night altercation has led to a fatal shooting, leaving a 17-year-old, identified as Anthony Elliot of Cleveland, dead and two others injured.

The shooting took place around 9:30 p.m. at a business on the 2500 block of Romig Road.

According to reports, after a verbal dispute inside the establishment, involved parties were escorted out. In the parking area, the argument escalated to a physical altercation, during which an unidentified suspect fired multiple shots.

Elliot was rushed to Cleveland Clinic Akron General, where he was pronounced dead by 10:02 p.m. from multiple gunshot wounds.

The incident has been ruled a homicide by the Summit County Medical Examiner.
