JACKSON, NJ – Two local Chinese restaurants in Jackson have been cited for multiple health violations by the Ocean County Health Department, including the presence of roaches and flies.

Chin Wong, located at 2275 W Countyline Road, faced six violations. Inspections revealed damaged kitchen equipment, including gaskets and handles, and a sink at risk of detachment. The facility’s three bay sink was also found improperly set up for cleaning utensils. Flies were present in the kitchen, and a lack of paper towels at the handwash station was noted.

Meanwhile, Hunan Wok Kitchen at 2010 West County Line Road incurred four violations. The establishment received a conditionally satisfactory rating after inspectors discovered roaches. The report urged immediate extermination services. The restaurant’s ServSafe certificate, required for safe food handling practices, expired in August. Additionally, two hand sinks were reported to be without paper towels.

Both restaurants have been instructed to undertake necessary corrective actions to address and resolve the violations to adhere to health and safety standards.
