Beachwood Police Blotter: Here’s What’s Happening

BEACHWOOD, NJ – Beachwood Police Department reported a series of incidents throughout October, leading to multiple arrests and investigations.

Warrant Arrest on Atlantic City Blvd: On October 3rd, Officers Gina Bruno and Sgt. Allen Magory responded to a report of a male sleeping on a property at 335 Atlantic City Blvd. A 54-year-old Beachwood man, found with multiple active warrants, was arrested and taken to the Ocean County Jail.

Warrant Arrest at Mayo Park: On October 5th, Officer Michael Batullo, while conducting property checks, discovered an occupied vehicle at Mayo Park. The driver, a 29-year-old man from Browns Mills, had an active warrant from Pemberton Twp. Municipal Court. He was arrested, processed, and released on his recognizance.


Criminal Mischief on Berkley Avenue: Officer Shane Kluxen responded to a report of damaged fence on Berkley Avenue and Oak Street on October 18th. Approximately eighteen feet of chain-link fence, belonging to the County of Ocean, required repairs.

Unauthorized Vehicle Use on Ship Avenue: On October 22nd, Officers Michael Batullo and Michael Tapp investigated a report of a vehicle taken without the owner’s consent on Ship Avenue. The owner had permitted someone to use a 2008 Kia for a set time, which was not returned as agreed.

DWI at Surf Avenue Intersection: On October 29th, a motor vehicle accident at Surf Avenue and Shell Street led to the arrest of a 59-year-old Berkeley Twp. woman for DWI, reckless driving, and failure to observe a stop sign. Officer Thomas Prince conducted the investigation.

Burglary at Birch and Surf Park: Officer Keith Meissner responded to a burglary at the Birch and Surf Park concession stand on October 31st. Force was used to enter the building and items belonging to the Borough of Beachwood were stolen.
