BUFFALO, NY – Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that Anthony Reynolds, 32, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class “B” violent felony.
Supreme Court Justice Paul B. Wojtaszek presided over the plea on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Thursday, April 6, at approximately 5:52 p.m.
Reynolds stabbed 26-year-old Marquese Smith once in the torso inside a building on West Utica Street, between Linwood Avenue and Main Street, Buffalo. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reynolds faces up to 25 years in prison at his sentencing scheduled for January 24, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. He remains in custody without bail.
