CNN Says Christie Speech ‘Best Ever’ as Network Continues Fawning Over Former NJ Governor

According to CNN, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie delivered a powerful speech during the Republican presidential primary debate at the University of Alabama’s Moody Music Hall.

The network claimed his articulate and forceful address, now referred to as the “Chris Christie Retribution Speech,” has been acclaimed for its clarity and impact as CNN continues to fawn over the candidate who is polling at between 2-3% among Republicans nationwide.

During the speech, Christie confronted the salient topic of former President Donald Trump’s recent remarks about dictatorship. He labeled Trump as “an angry, bitter man,” intent on retribution against his detractors. Christie’s response was not only direct but also underscored Trump’s apparent disregard for democratic norms.

Christie’s entire campaign has revolved around attacking the former president, similar to how CNN’s coverage has been since Trump announced his presidency in 2015.

In the CNN op-ed, the network says the former governor’s approach to debating was strategic and effective. He transformed Trump’s higher poll numbers, a potential weakness, into a critique of his debate opponents, accusing them of normalizing Trump’s conduct. This move showcased Christie’s adeptness in turning potential disadvantages into offensive strategies.

Beyond addressing Trump, Christie also engaged with other debaters. He rebuked Vivek Ramaswamy for insulting Nikki Haley and accused him of lacking substantive contributions. Christie’s confrontation with Ramaswamy highlighted his willingness to challenge disrespectful behavior among his peers.

Christie distinguished himself on the issue of transgender care. While others in the debate, such as Ramaswamy and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, adopted a more critical stance, Christie emphasized Republican principles of limited government. He advocated for parental rights in decision-making, a stance that contrasted with his peers’ more interventionist views.

CNN reported that Christie’s performance at the debate may be remembered as one of the most significant in presidential debate history.
