Columbus Police Arrest Three Suspects in Homicide Case

COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Division of Police has announced significant developments in a homicide investigation stemming from an incident on December 6th, 2023. The altercation, which began inside a local establishment around 7:00 pm, resulted in the death of a victim who was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

The suspects, Dionta Hughes, 18, Jamarion Evans-Bennett, 19, and Jayden Agee, 17, were involved in a physical altercation with the victim outside the establishment after being asked to leave by security. Following a comprehensive investigation, the Columbus Police Homicide Detectives filed murder charges against all three individuals on December 20, 2023.

Subsequently, Hughes, Evans-Bennett, and Agee were arrested and are currently incarcerated. The prompt response of the Columbus Police Officers in apprehending the suspects highlights the department’s commitment to addressing violent crimes in the community.
