PALM CITY, FL – A violent attack in Palm City has led to the arrest of 60-year-old Shaun Dougherty on charges of attempted murder. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that the incident occurred in a condominium within a gated community off Greenwood Way.

According to the victims’ statements to detectives, the confrontation began with a disagreement, escalating when Dougherty shot his girlfriend in the neck and then in the leg as she attempted to flee.
