Owen Henry Sworn In as New State Senator for New Jersey’s 12th District

JACKSON, NJ – Owen Henry, former mayor of Old Bridge Township in Middlesex County, has officially taken the oath of office as the new state senator for New Jersey’s 12th Legislative District. The swearing-in ceremony took place during the reorganization of the New Jersey Senate on January 9, 2024.

Henry, representing the Republican Party, expressed his enthusiasm and commitment to his new role. “I’m proud to accept this great honor that the people of the twelfth district have given me,” Henry stated. He emphasized his readiness to work for the constituents and focus on making New Jersey more affordable for families, seniors, and small businesses.

Jackson Township is in the 12th District zone.


The 12th District encompasses parts of Burlington, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties. Henry’s new role marks a significant step in his political career, following his tenure as mayor in Old Bridge Township.
