Two-Vehicle Collision in Manchester Results in Multiple Injuries

MANCHESTER, NJ — A severe two-vehicle crash occurred on Saturday evening at about 6:02 pm, prompting a response from the Manchester Township Police. The collision took place at the intersection of Commonwealth Blvd and Beacon Street.

Officers found a red 2017 Subaru Legacy and a silver 2006 Honda Accord, both with significant damage, on the front lawn of a residence on Beacon Street. The Subaru, driven east on Commonwealth Boulevard by 77-year-old John Biruk of Manchester, was struck by the Honda near its front end.

Biruk and his passenger, 78-year-old Shirley Marziali, also from Manchester, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Community Medical Center, where they are in stable condition. The Honda, driven by 19-year-old Marcos Flores of Lakewood, NJ, also had a 17-year-old female passenger who suffered serious injuries. She was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition.
