Juvenile Suspects Arrested for Armed Robbery and Assault in Baltimore

BALTIMORE – On January 16, 2024, Baltimore police responded to an armed robbery report at a business in the 900 block of North Caroline Street at approximately 12:20 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers were informed by the store’s employees that three juveniles, aged 15, 16, and 17, attempted to shoplift from the store. The situation escalated when the employees confronted the suspects, leading to verbal threats and physical assault. The suspects reportedly used lighter fluid during the assault, spraying it around the store and into an employee’s eye before fleeing the scene on foot.

Emergency medical personnel were called to treat the injured employee. Baltimore police officers successfully apprehended all three suspects shortly after the incident. The juveniles were taken into custody and transported to the Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center, where they will face charges related to the robbery and assault.
