U.S. Attorney’s Office Amplifies Efforts During National Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Hattiesburg, Miss. – In observance of National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, U.S. Attorney Todd Gee and his staff are intensifying their efforts to combat human trafficking. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is dedicated to prosecuting traffickers, providing support to victims, and raising public awareness through community outreach initiatives.

U.S. Attorney Todd Gee, along with Assistant U.S. Attorney Samuel Goff, the office’s Human Trafficking Coordinator, will be participating in the “SOAP Up Hattiesburg: Outreach Event to End Human Trafficking” on Saturday, January 20. This event, organized by the Coalition Against Trafficking student group and the University of Southern Mississippi’s Center for Human Trafficking Research and Training (CHRT), aims to educate participants on recognizing signs of human trafficking and involves a community impact project.
