EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has announced a scheduled closure of Highway 18 southbound at Racetrack Road, effective from 11 PM tonight, February 2, 2024, until 6 AM the following morning. This temporary closure is part of ongoing maintenance efforts to ensure the safety and reliability of the state’s transportation infrastructure.

To minimize disruption and maintain traffic flow, a detour will be established for southbound motorists affected by the closure. The NJDOT assures that northbound lanes on Highway 18 will remain open and unaffected during this period.

The New Jersey State Police will be present on-site to assist with traffic management and ensure motorists’ safety as they navigate the detour. Drivers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and to expect potential delays when passing through the area.
