HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has made a significant arrest in a disturbing invasion of privacy case. Christopher Scipio, 27, is facing charges after allegedly secretly recording individuals in a unisex restroom. The arrest highlights the sheriff’s office’s commitment to protecting residents from such violations.

Detectives initiated an investigation into Scipio’s activities and, through thorough investigative work, discovered explicit videos of 17 victims on his cell phone. The content and nature of these videos have sparked outrage and concern within the community and law enforcement.

Sheriff Chad Chronister expressed his disdain for the actions of the accused, stating, “This man’s actions are repulsive and disgraceful. We will not tolerate this invasion of privacy and exploitation in Hillsborough County.” The sheriff also praised the courage of a victim who came forward, noting that her actions have likely prevented further victimization.

The HCSO is now urging anyone who believes they may have been a victim of this crime to come forward and contact them at 813-247-8200.
