Florham Park, NJ – In an unexpected turn of events, Florham Park Police officers took on the role of food delivery drivers after arresting an Uber Eats driver for a traffic violation. The incident, which took place on a Sunday evening, involved a McDonald’s order intended for a local residence.

Body camera footage captured Officer Alexander and his colleagues as they decided to ensure the customer received their order despite the arrest. The officers arrived at the customer’s home, explaining the situation and delivering the meal personally. Unbeknownst to them at the time, the customer was Johnny LaValle, husband of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

The police had stopped the Uber Eats driver on Felch Road for a minor traffic warrant. The 60-year-old woman from Denville was arrested, but not before the officers took steps to park her car safely and complete her delivery to avoid any inconvenience.

Officer Alexander emphasized the police department’s commitment to going beyond the call of duty to provide peace, dignity, and respect to community members. Despite not being able to accept tips for their unexpected delivery service, the officers expressed satisfaction in helping out and have no intentions of switching careers.

The kind gesture was appreciated by LaValle, who was surprised but thankful for the delivery. This unique incident highlights the Florham Park Police Department’s dedication to serving their community in any way possible.
