Bethesda Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint

BETHESDA, MD The Montgomery County Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify a suspect involved in an armed robbery at an Exxon gas station early Friday morning, February 9, 2024.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division have released surveillance photos of the suspect in hopes of gaining information leading to an arrest.

The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. at the Exxon located in the 8200 block of Wisconsin Ave. According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect brandished a red and black handgun at the gas station employee, demanding the cash register be opened. After the register was accessed, the suspect instructed the employee to lie down on the ground and subsequently fled with an undetermined amount of cash and merchandise.


The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid-twenties, between 5’7″ and 5’8″ tall. He was seen wearing a black full-face mask, grey hoodie, black jeans, and black and white sneakers at the time of the robbery.
