JACKSON, NJ – Did you know Jackson Liberty High School was built to create a ‘buffer’ between the Jewish community of Westgate and the population of Jackson Township in the early 2000s?
Neither did we. But, a new article in the most recent issue of the Jackson Pulse, a magazine that recently blasted Christmas and Christmas decorations says they have ‘depositions from public officials’ saying the school intended to create a buffer between Westgate and Jackson Township.
“It’s noteworthy that early 2000s depositions from former Board of Education officials reveal that when Jackson Liberty High School was constructed adjacent to Westgate in Lakewood, one of the purposes was to serve as a buffer between Lakewood and Jackson,” the magazine wrote. “Its aim was to deter frum individuals from relocating to Jackson.”
Jackson officials must not be that bright if they thought of spending $101,000,000 to build a brand new high school to accommodate for the overcrowding at Jackson Memorial High School. It was the only place the district could build a 100-acre school campus. Never in the public discussions at the time was ‘keeping Jews out of Jackson’ come up.
Basically, what the Jackson Pulse aka, the Voice of Lakewood is doing is continuing to use its platform to create dissent between the Jackson community and the growing Orthodox Jewish community. Not only is it good for businesses to create a loyal readership, but it’s also good for the political agenda of those who write and work at the pulse.
The article references ‘depositions from former Board of Education officials’, but doesn’t reference how the paper obtained those depositions or how they were generated. We are to assume the depositions came from court cases against the township of Jackson, but only a few people actually have access to those cases, including those who launched the lawsuits.
They’re not public documents. We once again ask the Voice Of Lakewood, aka, the Jackson Pulse to do better and stop their agenda of trying to divide people in Jackson. We get it that Jews and non-Jews living in peace is not conducive to your ‘former’ liaison’s intent to cause interference and dissent in Jackson, but as a media publication, you should be aware of the damage caused by your constant reckless articles.
Whether or not some local board members might have ‘thought’ this or mentioned this after the fact, does not mean the taxpayers of Jackson cut down a huge parcel of woods and fields that, guess what, would have been a better ‘buffer’ than plopping a high school and thousands of kids adjacent to the development you claim the town needed a buffer from.
The Pulse’s logic on this matter does not make a single bit of sense, but sounds like they are exploiting hyperbole, or just making it up.
