New Castle, DE – In a significant operation early Friday morning, the Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force, along with the Special Operations Response Team, apprehended 36-year-old Brandon Tann of Wilmington for his involvement in drug distribution and illegal firearm possession.

The operation, conducted on February 9 at around 6 AM, targeted two residences on the 4000 block of New Castle Avenue. This action was the culmination of a months-long investigation pinpointing Tann as a central figure in drug distribution efforts at these locations. Upon executing the search warrants, authorities encountered Tann and uncovered substantial evidence of his illegal activities. Items seized included over $1000 believed to be proceeds from drug sales, a loaded .25 caliber handgun, a 12-gauge shotgun with a scope, ammunition, around 11.6 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

A subsequent computer check confirmed that Tann is legally prohibited from possessing any firearms. He was arrested without any confrontation and subsequently taken to Troop 2 for processing. Tann faces multiple charges related to drug distribution and firearm possession. Following his arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, he was detained at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution with bail set at $82,010 cash.
