Major Drug Bust Lands Three From Somerset County in Jail

Hillsborough Twp., NJ – Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, alongside Chief Francisco Roman Jr. of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office and Hillsborough Township Police Chief Mike McMahon, have announced the arrest of three local residents following a significant narcotics and firearms investigation.

The individuals apprehended are Christian Lebron, 22, Sean Lebron, 20, both of South Branch Road, and Juan Martinez, 21, of Gemini Drive, all from Hillsborough, New Jersey.

The arrests occurred on Friday, January 26, 2024, at around 9:30 a.m., marking the culmination of a comprehensive investigation by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force, the Somerset County SWAT Team, Hillsborough Township Police, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the United States Postal Inspection Service. The operation targeted residences on South Branch Road and Gemini Drive in Hillsborough Township.


The investigation led to the execution of a Superior Court search warrant at the implicated residences, resulting in the seizure of four handguns, five high-capacity magazines, a variety of narcotics including 770 Xanax pills, 10 Oxycodone pills, 200 tabs of LSD Acid gel tabs, 67 grams of cocaine, and 56 grams of marijuana. The total street value of the seized items is estimated at approximately $21,030.00.

Christian Lebron faces charges including 1st degree distribution of LSD, 2nd degree possession of a handgun, and other drug-related offenses. Sean Lebron has been charged with similar offenses, including 1st degree distribution of LSD and multiple counts of handgun possession and distribution. Juan Martinez’s charges include 1st degree distribution of LSD, 2nd degree distribution of cocaine, and additional drug and firearms offenses.

All three defendants were held in Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
