Two Juveniles Detained for Atlantic City Carjacking

Atlantic City, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department has apprehended two juveniles in connection with the carjacking and assault of a delivery driver.

The incident occurred on February 10, around 2:57 PM on the 1000 block of Sewell Avenue. The 35-year-old victim was attacked while making a delivery, as he interrupted a juvenile male attempting to steal his vehicle. A second male joined the assault, resulting in the victim’s injuries and the theft of his vehicle. He was later taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers Anthony Nastasi and Nickolas Cardani located the stolen vehicle at 4:00 PM on the 500 block of Absecon Boulevard. Upon seeing two males exit the vehicle and attempt to walk away, Officers Ivan Cruz and La’Quay Green intervened and arrested the suspects, aged 15 and 16, both from Atlantic City.


The charges against the juveniles include carjacking, motor vehicle theft, and aggravated assault.
