Allentown, PA – A tragic shooting occurred at East Walnut and South Dauphin streets in Allentown around 8 p.m. Saturday, resulting in the death of a 33-year-old man, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.

The victim has been identified as Miguel Dalmasi of Alburtis. The District Attorney’s Office revealed that Dalmasi was attending a birthday party for a 1-year-old relative with his family when the shooting took place. A dispute erupted between two groups outside the party venue, leading to one or more individuals from an uninvited group opening fire on Dalmasi as they attempted to gain entry into the party.

In the aftermath, Allentown Police were seen investigating the scene on Sunday, examining a car and taking pictures of it and the surrounding area, including in the snow.

The investigation is being carried out by the Allentown Police, Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, and the District Attorney’s Office, as the community grapples with the shock of the violence.
