Baltimore Wakes Up Two Two Shootings Twenty Minutes Apart on President’s Day

Baltimore, MD – Baltimore Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred on the morning of February 19, 2024, leaving two individuals injured.

In the Northeast District, at approximately 7:46 a.m., officers responded to a shooting and vehicle crash on the 4500 block of Parkmont Avenue. A 42-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It appears she was trying to escape from an armed assailant when she was shot and subsequently crashed her car, causing it to overturn.

In a separate incident in the Northwest District, a 30-year-old man walked into a hospital at around 7:20 a.m. with a gunshot wound, also deemed non-life-threatening. The preliminary investigation indicates he was shot by an unidentified assailant while in the 3100 block of West North Avenue.


The Baltimore Police Department continues to investigate these incidents, seeking information on the unidentified suspects involved in both shootings.
