Frankford, DE – An early Saturday morning crash in Frankford led to the arrest of 18-year-old Aidan Cooper of Selbyville,

Delaware, on multiple charges, including DUI, drug possession, and gun charges. Delaware State Police were called to Old Mill Bridge Road, north of Millers Neck Road, around 5:55 a.m., where they found an unoccupied gray Dodge Charger with rear damage and its contents scattered on the road.

Investigating a report of a suspicious person nearby, a trooper stopped a Nissan Sentra and identified Aidan Cooper as the Charger’s driver at the time of the crash. The accident occurred when Cooper, driving southbound on Old Mill Bridge Road, lost control on the snowy and wet road, hitting a mailbox and a tree before stopping in a ditch.

Cooper showed signs of impairment and was arrested after refusing field sobriety tests. A search of his belongings uncovered a Glock handgun, ammunition, methamphetamine, alcohol, and THC products. The investigation continues as Cooper faces serious legal consequences for his actions.
