Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw has announced a grand jury’s decision to indict Ayron Taylor, a former Mount Laurel police officer, on 97 counts related to hacking into the social media accounts of multiple women and distributing private nude images. The indictment, returned on February 15, includes charges of computer theft, endangering the welfare of a child, invasion of privacy, attempted computer theft, and official misconduct.

Taylor, 24, from Moorestown, is accused of unauthorized access to about 20 women’s social media accounts and sharing their nude photos with contacts. Some charges involve distribution of child pornography due to victims being underage when some photos were taken. His actions, some of which occurred while on duty using personal devices, led to an official misconduct charge.

Scheduled for arraignment on March 11 in Superior Court in Mount Holly, the case will proceed to trial. The investigation, initiated in September 2022 by Evesham Township police, revealed Taylor’s illegal access to approximately 5,000 email accounts through Rowan College at Burlington County. Following initial charges, Taylor was suspended and subsequently resigned from the Mount Laurel Police Department.
