D.C. Early Morning Shooting Leaves One Dead, Another Injured

Washington, D.C. – Early this morning, a shooting in Northeast D.C. near the D.C.-Maryland state line resulted in one man dead and another injured. The D.C. Metro Police Department responded to reports of gunfire on 63rd Street just after 5:10 a.m.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered one man with an upper-body gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he is expected to recover. A second man found a short distance away, was pronounced dead at the scene. Details regarding the deceased, including his age, name, and origin, have not been disclosed.

The surviving victim has reportedly been uncooperative with the police investigation. As of now, no suspects have been identified.
