Lindenwold Police Department Celebrates Retirement of Lieutenant Ken Balmer

LINDENWOLD, NEW JERSEY — The Lindenwold Police Department proudly announces the retirement of Lieutenant Ken Balmer, marking the culmination of a distinguished career in law enforcement that began in 1999. Initially serving as a Corrections Officer, Lt. Balmer joined the Lindenwold Police Department as a full-time officer in January 2000.

Throughout his tenure, Lt. Balmer ascended the ranks, achieving the position of Sergeant in March 2009 before being promoted to Patrol Lieutenant in February 2020. His final role before retirement was in the Detective Bureau, starting in October 2022, where he played a pivotal role in several high-profile investigations.

Lt. Balmer’s career has been decorated with numerous accolades, including awards for Life Saving, Meritorious Service, and Outstanding Police Work. Recognized not only for his professional achievements but also for his dedication and leadership, Lt. Balmer has been a valuable mentor and supervisor within the department.
