TRENTON, NJ – Bill Spadea, a prominent talk show host on NJ101.5, openly criticized former President Donald Trump, labeling him a failure in his efforts to combat the so-called “deep state.” During his radio segment on November 14, Spadea argued that despite public perception, Trump did not fulfill his promises to dismantle the deep state, a frequent target of his rhetoric.

“”You know, people give Trump a lot of credit for for going after the deep state. The reality is, he didn’t. He failed. and I’ve said this over and over again now forget about your position on Donald Trump now but he failed,” Spadea said.

Spadea, who is eyeing a run for governor in New Jersey against Jack Ciattarelli in 2025, has shifted from being a Trump supporter to positioning himself as New Jersey’s leading conservative candidate. This strategic distancing from Trump may be aimed at appealing to New Jersey’s predominantly Democratic electorate, suggesting that the outcome of the 2024 presidential election may have limited impact on his gubernatorial ambitions
