Laptop Purchase Meeting Turns Into Armed Robbery in Bronx

BRONX, NY — A 35-year-old man became the victim of an armed robbery while attempting to purchase a laptop in the Bronx. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Westchester Avenue and Cauldwell Avenue, where the victim arranged to meet an unknown seller.

Upon arrival, the seller, described as a female, entered the front seat of the victim’s vehicle, brandished a firearm, and was quickly joined by two male accomplices. The trio robbed the victim of two cellphones and $2,150 in cash, then assaulted him by punching him in the head. Following the attack, the assailants fled northbound on Westchester Avenue.

The victim, who refused medical attention, provided descriptions of the attackers. The female is noted as having a medium complexion, standing approximately 5’7”, and weighing between 120-130 pounds. She was wearing an orange sweater, blue vest, and a dark-colored mask at the time of the robbery.


The first male accomplice is described as having a light complexion, about 5’7” tall, weighing 160-180 pounds, with curly reddish hair. He was seen wearing a black jacket and a blue mask.
