TRENTON, NJ — Charges have been filed against three individuals in the November 2023 shooting death of Leroy Tutt, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department conducted the investigation leading to the arrests.

Jerrod Baldwin and Kellen Dingman, both 41 and from Ewing, face charges of first-degree murder, weapon possession offenses, and conspiracy to commit murder. Eric Bell, 44, of Trenton, is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and hindering apprehension. The suspects were apprehended earlier this week by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Mercer County Tactical Response Team and are currently held at the Mercer County Correction Center.

The investigation was triggered by a ShotSpotter alert on the morning of November 24, 2023, on Oliver Avenue in Trenton. Responding officers found Leroy Tutt, 37, of Trenton, with multiple gunshot wounds next to a burgundy Chrysler Sebring. Tutt was pronounced dead at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Authorities continue to investigate and urge anyone with information to come forward.
