California Drug Dealer Faces Charges for Fentanyl Trafficking in New Jersey

NEWARK, N.J. – U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced today the charges against a California man for his alleged involvement in fentanyl distribution.

Timothy Alan Blank, 54, from California, faces charges of possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl. Following his appearance in Newark federal court before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael A. Hammer,

Blank was arrested.


Court documents and statements revealed that Blank transported approximately 5 kilograms of fentanyl from Los Angeles, California, to New Jersey in an SUV on March 3. Law enforcement officials discovered the narcotics in the vehicle’s trunk after stopping Blank for a traffic violation on March 8.

The charge against Blank carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
