Howard County Police Boost Patrols in Centennial Park Following Assault

ELLICOTT CITY, MD—In response to an assault on a local jogging trail, Howard County Police have heightened patrols in Centennial Park. A 24-year-old woman reported that on March 11, she was attacked by an unidentified male who grabbed and struck her around 6:30 a.m.

The victim, who sustained a minor injury, managed to escape to her vehicle and did not seek medical treatment. She described the assailant as a male, either White or Hispanic, between 5’7” and 5’9” tall, with dark eyes, and wearing a black cloth medical mask and a plain black baseball hat. The police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. Information related to the incident can be reported to the Howard County Police at 410-313-STOP.
