MCKEES ROCKS, PA – Eric Howard, a 36-year-old resident of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to over a year in federal prison for his involvement in narcotics distribution. The sentence, announced by United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan, was handed down by United States District Judge William S. Stickman and includes a 12-month and one-day imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release.
Howard was convicted of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl, a potent Schedule II controlled substance, between February and June 2023. Judge Stickman emphasized Howard’s significant history of drug trafficking before determining that incarceration was necessary to deter future criminal activity.
The case was successfully prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Katherine C. Jordan and Douglas C. Maloney, with United States Attorney Olshan acknowledging the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s critical role in the investigation that led to Howard’s prosecution.
