NEW YORK CITY, NY – Two New York City cops were attacked by brick-throwing scooter-bound perps who ambushed them while they were driving in their marked NYPD cruiser during a chase in the Bronx.

The New York City Police Department is calling on the public to help identify a suspect involved in the attempted assault of two NYPD officers. The incident occurred in front of 3555 Bainbridge Avenue within the 52 Precinct.

The officer was chasing a group of illegal ATV and motorcycle suspects through the street when one came from behind and threw a brick through their window. The entire incident was caught on camera.

The event occurred on Thursday, March 14, at around 6:17 PM, when an unidentified male on a blue two-wheeled vehicle approached a marked NYPD vehicle from behind. He threw a brick at the vehicle, causing damage, before fleeing south on Bainbridge Avenue toward East Gun Hill Road. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The police are looking for a male with a dark complexion, aged between 18-25 years old, who was last seen wearing all-black clothing. The NYPD urges anyone with information to come forward.
