South Jersey Man Charged with Online Solicitation of Monmouth County Teen

FREEHOLD, NJ – Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced the arrest of a Gloucester County man for allegedly engaging in sexually explicit conversations with a 14-year-old from Middletown. Jeremy M. Slickerman, 33, of West Deptford, faces a charge of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

The investigation into Slickerman’s activities began when the Middletown Police Department contacted the High Tech Bureau’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit within the Prosecutor’s Office. Through their inquiries, officials discovered that Slickerman had communicated with the victim using various online chat applications, such as Xbox Live, Skype, Discord, and Chat IB.

Slickerman allegedly encouraged the minor to visit a park near his residence for a meeting. He is also accused of suggesting that the teenager engage in inappropriate acts with relatives, neighbors, and classmates.
