CHERRY HILL, NJ – The Cherry Hill Police Department has issued a warning to residents about a phone scam where callers impersonate local police officers. According to the department, this scam is part of a national scheme currently under investigation by law enforcement agencies across the United States.

Residents receiving such calls are urged not to provide any personal or financial information to the caller. Instead, they should immediately hang up and report the incident by calling the Cherry Hill Police Department’s non-emergency line at 856-665-1200, ensuring they dial the number manually rather than returning the call to the received number.
