Roselle Man Fatally Injured in Linden Vehicle Crash

LINDEN, NJ – A tragic motor vehicle accident claimed the life of a Roselle man this afternoon in Linden. Linden Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of N. Wood Ave and Gibbons St shortly after 2:30 PM following reports of a serious crash.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim pinned under a vehicle. The Linden Fire Department swiftly intervened, lifting the vehicle to extricate the victim, who was later pronounced dead at RWJBH Rahway Hospital.

Preliminary investigations suggest the victim was traveling southbound on an electric scooter in the northbound lanes of N. Wood Ave. At the same time, the vehicle involved was making a left turn onto E. Gibbons St, leading to the collision. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain injuries.


N. Wood Ave has been reopened following the incident. The Linden Police Traffic Bureau is conducting a thorough investigation into the crash.
