D.C. Police Search for Suspect in Daylight Purse Snatching

Washington, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department is requesting the help of the community to identify a suspect involved in a recent robbery in Northwest, D.C. The incident occurred on Sunday, around 12:05 p.m., in the 1800 block of Lamont Street.

A suspect confronted the victim, demanding her purse. When the victim resisted, the suspect forcefully took the purse and fled the area. Surveillance cameras in the vicinity captured images of the suspect involved in this crime.

Police are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or details of the incident to refrain from taking any action but to contact the police at (202) 727-9099. Alternatively, tips can be texted to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411, helping to assist in the ongoing investigation and efforts to make an arrest.
