Glen Burnie, MD – Two Racetrax players claimed identical prizes of $62,454.30 each from the same race, placing their bets at the same Maryland retailer. The remarkable win occurred on March 21, with both players successfully predicting the top four finishing horses in a Superfecta Box bet.

The winners, including an Anne Arundel County woman and an anonymous male player, had wagered on horses 9, 10, 11, and 12 to finish in the top four spots. The victory came during the 11th race of their betting sessions, with the woman having bet on 20 races and the man on 18 races at Chesapeake Liquors in Glen Burnie. Following their win, Chesapeake Liquors will be awarded a bonus totaling $1,249.08, equal to 1% of each prize, for selling the winning tickets.

The female winner, expressing her humility and gratitude, plans to use her winnings to pay off her car loan, cover bills, assist family members, and enhance her savings. Despite the excitement typically associated with such a win, she felt a deep sense of thankfulness for her good fortune. Both winners took steps to claim their prizes at the Maryland Lottery headquarters, marking a memorable moment in the state’s lottery history.
