Washington, D.C. – A heartfelt plea for community assistance has been issued by the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District in the search for Recardito, a French Bulldog, following a vehicle theft in Northwest Washington. The dog’s disappearance has left its owner anxiously awaiting news.

Early yesterday morning, a car was stolen from the 1900 block of 14th Street, Northwest, with Recardito inside. Although the stolen vehicle was later found, the four-year-old French Bulldog was unfortunately not inside, prompting a citywide search for the beloved pet.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for the theft and the safe return of Recardito. The public is urged to come forward with any information about the incident by contacting the police at (202) 727-9099 or through the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
