24-Year-Old Charged with Murder After Man Pushed into Oncoming Subway Train in Harlem


Bronx, NY
– A 24-year-old man, Carlton Mcpherson, has been arrested and charged with murder in a fatal subway assault.

On Monday, at approximately 9:00 PM, Carlton Mcpherson was taken into custody by police in the 25th Precinct. He is accused of being involved in an incident earlier that evening, around 6:58 PM, when police were called to the 125th Street and Lexington Avenue subway station. Upon arrival, authorities found an unconscious and unresponsive male on the tracks, who had been struck by a northbound 4 train. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

Police say that Mcphearson pushed the victim into the train tracks where he was struck by an oncoming train.


The arrest occurred at Mcpherson’s residence on Sedgwick Avenue in the Bronx. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
