WALL, NJ – Local police have reported several arrests for driving while intoxicated (DWI) under John’s Law, spanning various locations and incidents.

On March 23 at 7:00 PM, Ptl. Trent Powers conducted a traffic stop on Belmar Blvd near Monmouth Blvd, resulting in the arrest of Virgilio Hernandez-Valverde, 52, of Wall, for DWI. He was processed and released as per John’s Law.

The following day, March 24, at 2:30 AM, another DWI arrest occurred when Ptl. Tyler Martin stopped Ezequiel Lopez-Garcia, 28, of Brick, on State Hwy 35 near Lakewood Rd. Like the previous case, Lopez-Garcia was processed and released according to John’s Law.


An earlier incident on March 17 at 8:30 PM saw Alvaro Garcia-Hernandez, 24, of Wall, arrested for DWI following a car versus pole crash on Hwy 71 near 17th Ave. Processed and released under John’s Law, this incident marked one of several DWI-related arrests during the month.

That same day, at 5:21 PM, Bencho Ortiz-Flores, 54, also of Wall, was arrested for DWI by Ptl. John Kelly after a stop on Belmar Blvd near New Bedford Rd. Following processing, Ortiz-Flores was released in accordance with John’s Law.

On March 15, at 2:30 AM, Ptl. Tyler Martin made another DWI arrest on Hwy 35 near Church St, taking Nelson Abreuleal, 30, of Toms River, into custody. Abreuleal was processed and released per John’s Law.

Finally, on March 11 at 11:59 PM, Placida Quispe Huaman, 33, of Howell, was arrested for DWI after Wall Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Campbell Rd. Ptl. Daniel Grothues made the arrest, and Huaman was processed and released in line with John’s Law.
