Allegheny County Police Investigate Munhall Shooting Following Armed Robbery

MUNHALL, PA – Allegheny County Police have launched an investigation into a shooting incident stemming from an armed robbery in Munhall.

At approximately 10:53 PM on March 25, local authorities were alerted to a shooting at the 3900 block of Main St. A 30-year-old woman, found by first responders, had been shot once in the leg. She was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in stable condition. The Munhall Police, seeking specialized assistance, called upon the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit to take over the inquiry.

Upon investigation, detectives discovered that the incident occurred when the victim, standing outside a residence, was confronted by an armed male wearing a ski mask, demanding money. Following a brief altercation, the assailant shot the woman in the leg before fleeing the scene.
